Bridging the Gap Foundation was established by Menzies School of Health Research (Menzies) and Charles Darwin University (CDU).

At Bridging the Gap Foundation, their purpose is to address the gap in health and education opportunities and outcomes between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. This is achieved through partnerships and practical projects, including pathways to employment.

They believe that all Australians should have access to the best life opportunities including equitable access to education, healthcare, employment, and the chance to enjoy social and emotional wellbeing. It is their mission to support all Indigenous Australians to achieve this.

Bridging The Gap works closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and will continue to collaborate with and consult with these individuals and groups. Aiming to raise public awareness about the need to bridge the gap between the health, education, and employment opportunities and outcomes for Indigenous Australians and non-Indigenous Australians.

They partner with educational and health institutions, researchers, like-minded organizations, and government departments in order to increase the impact and promote sustainable and collaborative practice.
