The Importance of Ritual

The Importance of Ritual

When it comes to skincare, what does it mean to journey from routine to ritual?

From Routine to Ritual

Just saying it feels so right.

When we are in routine, our acts are often unconscious, rote, unremarkable, indifferent.

But a ritual is an invitation for deep self care. It opens creative gateways that allow us to intentionally reconnect to nature and our body, and experience the shared rhythm between the two.

We can bring this concept to life with our skincare rituals by lighting a candle, taking a bath, drinking herbal tea, and burning incense, or cultivated white sage. After we slow down, we can consciously and intuitively choose our skincare products and calm our nervous system by rhythmically pressing oil and water into our skin or lovingly applying a clay mask.

Smile, breathe and go slowly.”
- Thich Nhat Hanh”

Mother Teresa said, “Not all of us can do great things, but we can all do small things with great love.” We believe this is true, even in something as simple as caring for our physical bodies. When we allow ourselves to slow down and focus our intentions, we open ourselves to the creative goodness that abides within.

How else can this concept of creating ritual enhance every area of our life; from doing the dishes to making dinner?

Every moment has infinite potential to be magical and holy–and perhaps it already is. We just need to tap in and cultivate awareness! What do you think?

Our Classic Oil Serum and HydroSoul Ritual: Hydrate. Moisturize. Nourish.

To create a base of intense moisture and hydration begin by misting your face with an ample saturation of any HydroSoul. In the palm of your hand add one to three pumps of your favorite evanhealy Oil Serum. To that add a few more sprays of HydroSoul. Blend the two together, then gently and slowly press the warmed emulsion into skin. Mist face with a few more sprays of HydroSoul and press in again.
