We’d like to introduce you to one of the remarkable farming families behind one of our most cherished oils.
The story of Jalisco Jojoba begins with Daniel Gutierrez, who came to the United States in 1959, his wife Apolonia, and their eight children helped cultivate one of the region’s first jojoba farms, pioneering drip irrigation systems designed for desert farming.

Together, Daniel, his wife Apolonia, and their eight children helped develop one of the region’s early jojoba farms. Today, the family continues this work while investing in water conservation, rainwater harvesting, and desert restoration projects that help return native plants and wildlife to the land.

Rich in skin strengthening plant based ceramides, Jojoba is one of the most skin-compatible substances in nature, whose structure closely mirrors our skin’s own natural sebum.
Our Regenerative Organic ROC™ jojoba oil from Jalisco has a rich, buttery character unlike any jojoba we’ve ever encountered.
Though we call it an oil, it is actually a liquid wax whose structure closely mirrors our skin’s own natural sebum. Because of this remarkable affinity, jojoba absorbs beautifully, helping to soften, protect, and restore balance without heaviness.
Jojoba lives in many of our products, including our Blue Cactus Collection.
