Our Lavender Facial Tonic Hydrosol is sourced from a few small, organic farms. It is distilled solely for its hydrophilic (water-loving) components, not the essential oil. Distillers of essential oils usually use plant material that has been dried over several days, resulting in a loss of approximately 70% of water volume. We choose to distill for the hydrosol alone and use only fresh plant material. In this way the resulting hydrosol is much richer in the valuable, water-soluble aromatic molecules. Furthermore, these hydrosols are artisan-distilled at low temperatures for over two to three hours. Conventional distillation utilizes high temperatures, and the process lasts for only thirty to forty-five minutes. The more labor-intensive artisan process that we choose to use creates a hydrosol that is vitalizing and healing for all skin conditions.
Pure plant hydrosols are some of nature's best antioxidants. They play an important role in protecting the skin from free radicals and pollution. Saturating the skin daily with these precious waters restores pH balance, refreshes and tones skin tissue, maintaining soft and smooth skin while significantly increasing vitality and hydration to all skin conditions.

How to use our Lavender hydrosol
Instructions:
For maximum hydration saturate skin with HydroSoul: five to seven full sprays. With clean hands, press completely into skin. To help restore the protective hydro-lipid balance of the skin, follow Facial Tonic with two pumps of one of our silky oil Serums: Rosehip, Argan, Neem Immortelle or Pomegranate. For added protection, add a finger-full of one of our Day Moisturizers or Whipped Shea Butters over our Serum. Facial Tonic Hydrosols can be used liberally all day long to tone, hydrate, and refresh.

This is my first EvanHealy product, and it looks like the beginning of a long and happy relationship. I have dehydrated, mature, sensitive skin with rosacea and a tendency to develop seborrheic dermatitis. I need to keep my skincare routine very simple and pure to avoid reactions. I bought this to boost hydration after it was recommended to me in a natural foods market. It turns out this hyrdrosoul is making a huge difference in my skin! I’ve been using it for 3 weeks now, and it has provided the additional moisture boost I was seeking. This makes my skin glow with a dewy, more youthful look. It’s very calming on my rosacea. My skin looks better than it has in a very long time. I haven’t changed anything else in my routine yet, so I know it’s due to the hyrdrosoul. I’ve been mixing it with the oil I’m currently using to duplicate the recommended oil/water ritual, then spritzing with the hyrdrosoul. I follow with a final layer of oil to seal in the hydration a bit more, and one more spritz of hyrdrosoul to make my face look dewier.
I will say the first time I sprayed it, I was hyper aware of the scent for a long time, but since then I don’t really notice it. I’m so glad I persevered because I really love this stuff and never want to be stranded without it.
