Tea Tree Gel Cleanser, with the fresh herbal extracts of geranium, lavender, and sea buckthorn is a non-detergent gel ideal for deep cleansing skin without stripping protective oils. Developed for impure skin, it is also an effective choice for those who simply prefer a lightly lathering cleansing gel. With the clean and herbaceous fragrance of steam-distilled essential oils of tea tree, lavender and lavandin, it also makes a great shower gel.
What is the purpose of a cleanser? (A deceptively simple question.) A cleanser's purpose is to mix with and dissolve excess sebum, refine skin texture, 'lift' metabolic impurities from tiny dermal pores, and provide a balanced condition for moisturizing. Cleansing should be done twice a day & first thing in the morning and before going to bed. Make-up and sun block should always be removed in the evening.

How to Use
Moisten face with splashes of warm water or misting of hydrosol. Pump a small amount of cleanser into palm of hand. Dribble a little water or hydrosol to mix. Massage into face & neck working in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water & pat dry.
Add clay to cleansing gel for a detoxifying boost. In palm of hand, add a half teaspoon of clay to cleanser with dribbles of warm water & combine. This mild exfoliation revitalizes the appearance of the skin & cleanses pores revealing a clearer complexion.

Does the darker color mean anything? The smell is a tad different just wondering if it has the same affect as the newer product.

Sometimes raw ingredients can vary with each passing year, as they are influenced by environmental conditions like temperature, precipitation, etc. Sometimes this can cause a slight variation in color or scent, but you should not notice any difference in the effectiveness when using the cleanser. This gel cleanser seems to clear away a lot of my flaky/peely dead skin cells without the need for a wash cloth, which surprised me! Most face cleaners don’t do that on their own. I’ve always had to use a smooth cloth gently working in circles to exfoliate. I have very sensitive skin so harsh *abrasives* in cleansers are a huge no-no for me. But at the same time I need to exfoliate because my skin has a flaky tendency.. This delivered more than others I’ve tried. Just be aware that the strong scent of tea tree can be overpowering, but I’ve personally come to find it aroma-therapeutic. Also, beware this cleanser can sting in areas you have a blemish or sensitive spot. Overall I like this cleanser.

I really like this gel cleanser even though I use a cream
cleanser. It is gentle, non-drying & lathers nicely. Evan suggested mixing the two, so that you get the best of both worlds. I tried it & I am hooked!
