Calendula

Distilled from the wondrous and skin-loving blossoms, this Calendula water is one of the gentlest hydrosols we’ve ever worked with. Calming and soothing, yet gently stimulating, Calendula HydroSoul is the perfect choice for skin that is profoundly sensitive, reactive, troubled or overwhelmed, as well as for skin affected by a bout of rosacea or eczema.
The scent is soft earthy petals. A little hay-like. A bit of sunshine. But not an aggressive mid-day sun. More like the warm, luminous light in the final hour of the day or the soft light of morning filtered through the leaves of a tree. Or a warm breeze rolling over a golden field at the peak of summer.
Skin + Calendula is a millenias-long relationship. Calendula has been one of the skin’s greatest botanical allies since time immemorial. It’s primary use traditionally has been as an infused oil, but it’s also commonly used as an herbal powder for topical use, as tea taken internally for lymph health, or applied in a compress to the skin and to wounds.
The HydroSoul is a newer expression of this beautiful plant. We find Calendula HydroSoul to be especially hydrating. Or, if you can imagine it, a very wet HydroSoul, though still managing to be gently astringent. Overall, it has a very soft presence.
Calendula HydroSoul is restorative, soothing and calming. It brings a special kind of harmony to many dis-ordered skin conditions.

A team evanhealy favorite. If you’ve been with us for a while, you may have had a chance to try a previous limited batch a few years back. Clary Sage is a euphoric, hypnotic, uplifting and centering HydroSoul that — for the scent experience alone — is worth having a bottle.
On the skin, it is calming, slightly astringent, detoxifying and balancing. It is a wonderful choice for irritation, tension or any hormone-related skin imbalance.
Tranquilizing, intoxicating and spellbinding. Clary Sage HydroSoul is an enchanting plant water and a skin ally to all. This unique herb is rich and expansive, with an enigmatic and wild femininity. There is something inexplicably mystical about it.
Throughout history, Clary Sage has been considered an aphrodisiac and at one time was used to replace hops in ale to bring euphoric qualities to the brew. When working with the essential oil in the evanhealy lab, excessive inhalations of both clary sage essential oil and clary sage hydrosol have led to unexplained bouts of collective laughter and group giddiness. Do with that what you will.
