To craft this luscious facial butter, we whip our beloved Kperisi Village Shea Butter with our nutrient-diverse Sanctuary Complex of oils, and the restorative and potent addition of our handcrafted frankincense resin infused jojoba oil.

How to use our Sanctuary Boswellia Butter

Instructions:

As a daytime moisturizer: Take a finger-full of shea butter, warm and soften between the palms of your hand. Option to combine 2-3 sprays of hydrosol before mixing between palms. Massage into area of face or body to be treated. Finish by misting with of one of our facial tonic hydrosols to increase hydration and penetration.

As a Shea Treatment Mask: An alternative to our Clay Treatment Masks, our Whipped Shea Butters make ideal regenerating, nourishing and restorative treatments for dry and/or sensitive skin in need of rebuilding from over-use or over-reliance on harsh glycolic (AHA) treatments, fruit enzymes, or dermabrasions.

Greasier than I expected
From what I can tell this is the whipped shea butter. It was much greasier than I expected. I thought I could use it as a heavier day cream for winter in place of the Blue Chamomile Day Moisturizer I love. Too shiny on the face. Not very fragrant.

Hi Melanie. The Whipped Shea Butter is an excellent alternative as a heavier day cream for the winter, but we would recommend mixing with a few sprays of hydrosol or drops of water before applying. The mixture of oil & water helps mimic your skin's own hydro-lipid barrier, and you should notice an immediate improvement with how the product settles on your skin. The Blue Chamomile Moisturizer already contains water & hydrosol in its base, which will offer a different experience to your skin. Please reach out to us with any questions.
