What lead you on your path to become an Esthetician?

I have been a licensed Esthetician since 2005, after I attended Pure Aesthetics Holistic Skincare School in Tucson AZ, but my journey with skincare began long before that. I suffered from cystic acne for years and was desperate to heal it, yet no one could seem to help me. I decided to take matters into my own hands and attend school to learn about my skin and what was making it so “angry.” Within one year, my acne was gone and to my surprise I had fallen in love with skincare. I realized that skin, being our largest organ, is magnificently connected to everything else in our body, and to the world around us!It was then that I learned how to truly care for my skin, to honor my body and to use positive energy and loving touch, rather than despair and frustration, to transform what I saw in the mirror. I could not wait to share what I had learned with the world!

Why do you choose to use evanhealy in your practice?

I appreciate how it is a radically pure and simple skin care line that is therapeutic to all skin conditions. evanhealy is such a conscious company and when given a choice, I will always choose companies that prioritize sustainability and positive relationships in their business practices. It is a farm-to-face luxury for the masses. evanhealy uses ancient wisdom to address modern skin care dilemmas, and that really appeals to me. What lead you to evanhealy? I was working with Dr. Hauskha, and I met the broker for evanhealy in New Mexico. We made a great connection and she turned me onto the glory of evanhealy. I was hooked! What makes the evanhealy approach special/different? We use three main ingredients to bring the skin balance: Oil, Water and Clay - it's the trifecta of skin care bliss! I would have never thought that these three things could cure my adult-onset acne, yet they did and they address all other skin conditions as well. I thought I needed to dry my skin out and use chemicals, but it was the complete opposite! No matter your skin condition, the answer still lies in applying ingredients that your skin can understand. Our skin responds best to unprocessed pure organic nutrition. The Sanskrit word for oil is "Snigdha", and although this word has many layers, one of them is actually love! It might sound silly, but we have to love our skin if we want it to thrive and be radiant. evanhealy understands this concept, and these products lend themselves to ritual and self care/ love, and so much of that has to do with the therapeutic Oils and Butters we use.

How long have you been practicing?

I have been a licensed Esthetician since 2005.

What is the most fulfilling thing about your work?

Helping people achieve their skin goals is really satisfying to me, but I think the most fulfilling part is having people walk away feeling bliss and tranquility. It is an honor to touch the face of another person. I love the quiet stillness and meditative quality of what I do. It is profoundly therapeutic for me as it is to my clients.

Can you tell us a little about your practice?

I draw from both western science and other ancient systems. I have a background in cranial sacral, reflexology, shiatsu, Ayurveda, lymphatic drainage, dry brushing, and marma facial rejuvenation. I am passionate about nutrition, health, and wellness. I try to weave all of these modalities into my practice, depending on what my client needs.

What inspires you?

I find inspiration in the power of evanhealy products and therapeutic touch. I find inspiration from being in nature, unconditional love, selflessness, and overcoming adversity.

Why do you choose holistic, non-invasive skin care instead of conventional skin care?

When dealing with anything specific concerning the human body, it's important to look at the whole picture. In all that I do, I am driven to hold and create a safe space for my clients to connect to their own ability to self-heal. From my own personal experience, I love to teach my clients about better ways to treat their skin, without using harsh chemicals and synthetics.

What other interests do you have outside of esthetics?

I love to paint. I am an artist and have explored figurative artwork, but have lately been taken with the landscape. I enjoy baking and cooking, traveling, yoga, playing the guitar and singing, but spending quality time with my family and friends is the best ever!

What is your favorite product and/or combination of products?

I love Neem Immortelle Purifying Infusion. I use it as a cleansing oil. I am in love with this oil cleansing method and notice a big difference in skin clarity, reduction in blackheads, and skin softness for myself (as well as for clients) with consistent use of this amazing product. I always finish using plenty of HydroSoul after and layer with Sea Algae Serum and Pomegranate Repair Serum.

Any cool testimonials about evanhealy and your clients?

I had a client who had eczema on her face, especially on her forehead. I had her use only the Lavender HydroSoul and nothing else. Within a month her skin was almost completely clear. I know now the power of HydroSoul. They are truly THERAPEUTIC waters.

What is your personal evanhealy ritual?

I have always loved beauty rituals although I was never consistent with them. Now that I am using such high-quality natural products that are prepared with intention and contain mindfully sourced therapeutic-grade ingredients, my beauty routine has turned into a grounding self-care practice that engages my senses, soothes my nervous system, and connects me to the greater good. I love to take a mineral bath and then spray my entire body with HydroSoul and then slather myself in Sweet Blossom Body Oil followed with Whipped Shea Butter. I love this ritual in the colder months to really keep my skin soft and supple.

What makes you a truth seeker?

I guess I can say that I am always looking for a deeper truth and meaning in everything. I get bored with the superficial. I think we are here to seek the truth.
