Our Lemon Thyme Facial Tonic Hydrosol is 100% fresh plant water and nothing else.
It is sourced from a small, organic farm in northeastern Washington. We use only fresh plant material and choose to distill for the hydrosol alone. In this way the resulting hydrosol is much richer in the valuable, water-soluble aromatic molecules.
Our Lemon Thyme is artisan distilled in copper, at low temperatures over a two to three hour period of time. Conventional distillation utilizes stainless steel and high temperatures, and the process lasts for only thirty to forty-five minutes. The slower, more labor-intensive artisan process that we use creates a vitalizing and energetic hydrosol, offering subtle, aromatic healing for all skin conditions.
How to Use
For maximum hydration saturate skin with Lemon Thyme Hydrosol: three to five full sprays. With clean hands, press completely into skin. To help restore the protective hydro-lipid balance of the skin, follow Facial Tonic with two pumps of one of our silky oil Serums: Rosehip Treatment or Pomegranate Repair. For added protection, add a finger-full of one of our Day Moisturizers or Whipped Shea Butters over our Serum. Facial Tonic Hydrosols can be used liberally all day long to tone, hydrate, and refresh.
Here's an ACNE TIP: A daily saturation of any of our Facial Tonic Hydrosols helps to restore the skin's slightly acidic pH, its Acid Mantle, an integral part of the body's defense mechanism that helps to repel bacterial growth on the surface of the skin.
