Myrtle is refreshing and vitalizing when sprayed on the skin as a facial tonic. It is an exceptional hydrosol treatment in its ability to provide cool, soothing relief for the eyes.
Myrtle Hydrosol exhibits mucolytic and expectorant properties so it may be an effective spray for relief of bronchitis and other respiratory irritations caused from allergies or pollutants.
Consistent use of Myrtle Hydrosol, applied together with our Oil Serums - Rosehip or Pomegranate - will help minimize fine lines and wrinkles, deeply hydrating dry flaky skin. A visibly improved skin condition - soft, smooth and refreshed - appears instantly when misted on the skin together with our Oil Serums.
Users of our Lavender and Rose Geranium Hydrosols will find this a lovely complement and/or addition to their skin care regimen.
How to Use
Here are a few methods for cooling and soothing the eyes:
Spray liberally around eyes while blinking. Or pour 1 oz of chilled Myrtle Hydrosol into a small glass bowl, soak two cotton pads, wring out excess and place over closed eyes. Rest for 20 minutes.
For maximum hydration saturate skin with Facial Tonic Hydrosol (3 to 5 full sprays). With clean hands, press completely into skin. To help restore the protective hydro-lipid balance of the skin, follow Facial Tonic with two pumps of one of our silky Oil Serums: Rosehip Treatment or Pomegranate Repair. For added protection, add a finger-full of one of our Day Moisturizers or Whipped Shea Butters over our Oil Serum. Facial Tonic Hydrosols can be used liberally all day long to tone, hydrate, and refresh.
Here's an ACNE TIP: A daily saturation of any of our Facial Tonic Hydrosols helps to restore the skin's slightly acidic pH, its Acid Mantle, an integral part of the body's defense mechanism that helps to repel bacterial growth on the surface of the skin.
