| Rose Geranium Facial Tonic Hydrosol | Sweet Blossom Hydrating Body Oil |
A finger-tip sized amount applied daily to clean skin regenerates and protects extremely dry and dehydrated skin, having a remarkable effect on wrinkles, softening and smoothing fine lines, wrinkles, all signs of stress held in our face and eye area. After a few days of consistent use skin appears noticeably improved. Our Whipped Shea Butter, rich in essential fatty acids, cinnamic acid, and vitamins C, E, and K, heals dry, sensitive skin conditions while providing maximum barrier protection without a heavy feeling or clogging tiny dermal pores. It is especially effective when treating inflamed skin conditions such as eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, rashes, dry and burned skin.
Our Whipped Shea Butters are a combination of luscious and nourishing oils: California- grown extra-virgin olive oil, calendula-infused sunflower oil, and a Madagascar vanilla- infused coconut oil. These restorative and concentrated butters are prepared by hand in small batches. Over a period of four to six hours we slowly add each oil into the raw unrefined shea butter as it gently and continuously whips. At the end, we add the flower remedies of Self Heal and Crab Apple.
Our Shea Butter comes to us from the Tapko Widows Group, a small community of women in northern Ghana. This remarkable group of women hand-harvest and process the shea nuts into shea butter using labor-intensive, traditional methods that have been handed down over centuries. The Tapko Widows are paid a premium price and a percentage of sales goes to a micro-credit project in their support, complementing their subsistence agriculture-based economy. Tapko is a small village located near the Burkina Faso border in Ghana's Upper West Region.
This truly unrefined product has been extracted without chemical solvents, cleansers or bleaching agents. As a result small granules may occur, which in no way compromises its quality, and will dissolve instantly when massaged into skin. Variations in color and fragrance may also occur. Unrefined shea butter is high in valuable unsaponifiables, which add emolliency and softness to skin. Vitamin E protects against oxidation, and naturally occuring phytosterols contribute to cell membrane integrity.
As a daytime moisturizer: Taking a finger-full of Shea Butter warm and soften between the palms of your hand. Massage into area of face or body to be treated. Finish by misting with of one of our Facial Tonic Hydrosols to increase hydration and penetration.
As a Shea Treatment Mask: An alternative to our Clay Treatment Masks, our Whipped Shea Butters make ideal regenerating, nourishing and restorative treatments for dry and/or sensitive skin in need of rebuilding from over-use or over-reliance on harsh glycolic (AHA) treatments, fruit enzymes, or dermabrasions; it also makes a great hair conditioner!
How to apply a Shea Mask
Step 1
Warm a small amount of Whipped Shea Butter between the palms of the hands and massage into clean, slightly damp skin. Leave on to fully absorb – at least 15 minutes.
Step 2
Enhance the Shea Butter Treatment by pressing a series (two to three or more) of warm washcloths just against face, allowing the moist warmth of the washcloth to penetrate the Shea Butter into the skin.
Step 3
Finish with a final wipe, removing any remaining Shea Butter off face. Your skin will look and feel exquisitely clean, velvety smooth, and calm.
This treatment helps to restore, protect and strengthen skin structure.

Hi Evan I was introduced to your products and I love them. I am a licensed esthetician and have referred many clients to your products. I wanted to give you a testimonial about your product, "Shea Butter Face and Body Cream," with Olive Leaf. I have perioral dermatitis. At times, my chin looks completely red, inflamed and bumpy. During a recent visit to the Dermatologist pointed it out to me. He said that many women in their late thirties and forties will have this and many of them are very upset about it. He said of course it is hormonal and many doctors will prescribe birth control pills to clear it up ( he does not do that). He pretty much concluded that it is what it is and the more I stay away from that area (try not to use anything on it, cleansers, toners, or moisturizers) the better....I started using the Shea Butter Face and Body Cream. I keep it on my bed stand along with your Lavender Facial Tonic Hydrosol. Whenever the dermatitis is flaring up, I warm a bit of the cream in my hands, I press it into my chin and spray with Hydrosol before I go to sleep and wake up in the am with no redness, no inflammation, no bumps, just velvety soft, evenly toned, lovely skin! Blessing for a beautiful and peaceful 2010 JoAnne C. Glastonbury, CT I have to be honest: I came here to your blog just to check it out and to see if there were any new products that are being discussed. I'm a long time customer. Then I listened to your video on dry skin. Now, I have been using your Whipped Shea Butter w/ Olive Oil since it hit the market and it has worked miracles for me. But that suggestion you make on your video page about slathering your face then pressing hot face towels against it was a new one to me. So I tried it. I don't know how to describe the feeling: clean yet soft and relaxed; it makes my skin feel so plumped, soft, and soothed. What a brilliant suggestion. Thank you evanhealy. - DE, An eastcoast devotee

" Thanks so much for the whipped shea info--my daughter's teenage skin evened out almost instantly. Over the weekend she received dozens of random compliments on her hair--the funny thing was it was the healthy glow of her FACE that set her hair off! How perfect a demonstration of what make-up is supposed to do; you only better and brighter, and yet she had nothing made-up on! We went to our local Coop today and bought nearly $300 of your products. Can't wait to try your lip balm. You and your line just rock. Devotedly yours, Leesa J"
"Evan, I am back from our 30 day backpack trip, and wanted to share my experience with your PRODUCT. First, I have never packed 1 product for my face on any outdoor endeavor, be it backpacking or climbing El Capitan. Instead, there would be some 3 or more containers to deal with...WELL, took your advice and packed the SHEABUTTER with Olive Oil for each cache (3) we'd pick-up. I literally slept with it in my sleeping bag at night to keep it warm (you'd said "it" did not like to get cold), and during the day, it was kept in the top flap of my pack, also to stay heated by the sun! I used it as a cleanser, heating water til HOT, and wiping it gently off my face (a.m. routine)- would add additional for some moisture, but sweated soo much, that could not add much. At night, again would smear it over my face, wipe off, and left the skin to "breathe" over night. It was great...wish I had PACKED MORE OF IT, to use on sun burned hands, use on my husbands' face, and be more generous in my cleansing. It is a winner!! Now, great to be home to add my Serum & Hydrosol, and Clay! ps...I did take the Rose Clay, and used it about 4 times :) Thanks so, so much." Cal G.
